Mahak Gupta takes immense interest and is passionate about the films she grades. Her aim is to let the emotion of the narrative flow naturalistically. Her close work with DPs on set as DIT/on-set colorist informs a lot of choices she makes in the color room. She also conducts color and digital imaging workshops at FTII and SRFTI for cinematography students. Amidst all the work that she does, she steals few hours or days to do nothing.

Films Mahak has graded stream on Netflix, Amazon and Mubi as well as are screened at global film festivals.

Her film All That Breathes won Grand Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival 2022, Golden Eye award at Cannes 2022, it is also nominated for Best Documentary Feature at Oscars 2023, and was in Documentary Feature Competition at Camerimage 2022. Her film Testimony of Ana was a part of Documentary Shorts Competition line-up at Camerimage 2021. Bittu was shortlisted for Oscars 2021 for the Best Live Action Short category.

Mahak was nominated for the best colorist at Filmlight Color Awards 2022 in the Spotlight category for the film Shoebox.
